Contagem Plant - MG, Brazil

Opened in 1968, the Contagem Unit has 32,000 m² of built area and an annual production capacity of 200 transformers and 3,500 voltage regulators. The complex includes vertically integrated factories for power transformers and voltage regulators, along with dedicated facilities for key components such as tanks, coils, on-load tap changers, electronic voltage controls, cores, and active parts. Climate-controlled
and isolated coil and active-part production areas ensure product quality through strict control of dust and humidity levels. With the acquisition of new land, the Power Transformer Factory will be expanded, doubling its production capacity. The new facility is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2029.

The Betim Unit provides maintenance and refurbishment services for power transformers serving distribution utilities and industrial customers. Focused on transformers up to 230 kV, the plant can refurbish up to 30 units per year. Transformer refurbishment is the plant’s core business, with plans to expand maintenance contracts both nationally and internationally.

The Integrated Solutions Unit (SI) expands its presence in Brazil with a portfolio focused on comprehensive solutions for critical electrical infrastructure. Its product line includes Protection, Automation, and Control Systems (PACS), Telecom Systems, Substation Retrofits, and Mobile Systems (Substations and SKIDs).
